Once I became a project manager within the socially
integrative city program, I got involved in voluntary work and
active citizenship as well: |

2007 until 2009 I was member of a
neighborhood
jury, determining the allocation of public funds within the socially
integrative city program. In the second year I was member of the steering
meeting as well. |

As a result of close cooperation I became member
of the board in the local association of citizens. Soldiner
Kiez e. V. is a registered association actively networking different
actors in the neighborhood, organizing cultural events and lobbying
the local area. |
|
Since March 2009 I am a member of the local support
group of CoNet,
a European project funded by URBACT - Exploring current approaches
to strengthen social cohesion in neighbourhoods. In this context I
participated in project-meetings in France and Poland and I am looking
forward to participate in a Summer University dedicated to URBACT
Local Support Groups in Krakow in August 2011 |

Also I am a participant in “Round table
Leopold Place”, an open monthly meeting of neighbors, business
people, social workers, police, members of administration and other
actors interested in a better situation in public space at Leopold
Place. |
